This depends upon how payroll has been set up. Monthly payments are due by the 22nd of the following tax month or by the 19th, if you pay by post, while quarterly payments are due on the 22nd after the end of the quarter.
Full Payment Submission (FPS) need to be sent on or before your employees’ payday, even if you pay HMRC quarterly instead of monthly.
You must enter the date that you pay your employees, even if you pay them later or earlier. As an example if you pay your employees early because your usual payday falls on a Bank Holiday, you should still enter your normal payday.
